His work and contributions serve as an ancient encyclopedia on the arts, which has influenced dance, music and literary traditions in India. Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam, a veteran Bharatanatyam dancer and an artiste with many talents, built this Bharata Muni shrine. Her passion for the field of Bharatanatyam encouraged her to envision and construct the shrine for Bharatha Muni, one of its kind, dedicated to the founder of Natyasastra. The foundation also does research alongside curation and preservation of cultures across South Asia.
BIFAC complex and the Museum have cultural relevant artifacts, the Kanchi Mahaswami library, the TAG digital library, and the Abhinavagupta conference hall for conducting seminars and workshops.
