Recently visited the Jurahareshwarar / Airavatesvara temple an popular Lord Shiva with great architecture and history located in Kanchipuram.
we visited the Jurahareshwarar / Airavatesvara temple, an Lord Shiva temple was built by the Pallavas around 8th century. It is also known for its architectural marvel and splendid vimana. The name of the temple Jurahareswarar is derived from the Tamil word “Juram” which means fever. The unique feature of this temple is its sanctum built in Gajaprastha style, looks like the back of an elephant.
