Recently visited the Koothu Kottaai, an grand folk arts show of Tamil Nadu wonderfully organized by Alternative Media Center and kindly well supported by APL global school, Chennai. It featured a 55 varieties of rare traditional art forms, street dramas (Theru koothu), Kummi Attam, Kai Silambu Attam, Parai attam, Bommalattam (Puppetry), Karakattam, Bhagavatha Nandanam, Oyilattam, Kolaattam, Poikkal Kuthirai Attam, Urumi Attam, traditional games, enriching folk songs and various, colorful energizing dance forms which have been played for many centuries.
