9.4 – Superb Awesome

The Farm, Chennai is an organic eco-friendly, natural farm giving us a complete village atmosphere with their organic Vegetable Shop, Vegetable Gardens, Rice fields, and Livestock. The Farm also has an in-built organic eco-friendly restaurant with a bed and breakfast incorporated into the traditional farm. It is located nearby Old Mahabalipuram Road in Semmenchery, Chennai.

The Farm has a farm with organic vegetable gardens, rice fields, coconut groves and plantations, on-site livestock and poultry, including cows, buffaloes, chickens, turkeys, goats, and horses are with in the city.

The Farm’s organic eco-friendly restaurant has an open and closed dining space which is built with bricks no tiles, and wood furnished tables and chairs allow a natural classic dining experience. The overall ambiance is similar to the village setting. It’s quite a unique one specializing in growing own fruits, veggies and making their own cheese, and is completely organic. Wood ovens are used in the restaurant’s kitchen.

They also offer restaurant guests a guided tour of The Farm. The Farm space can also be rented for family or corporate events. Even though the farm started in 1974, the Farm opened its restaurant and food store in 2009.

The Farm shop also grows and sells fresh organic vegetables and fruits from the fields, a range of dairy products, pickles, jams, oil, bakery products, soaps, coffee roastery, balms, there are just so many organic things are available for us to buy.

This is a great place to take our family for a time of good food and a pleasant outdoor setting as kids will also enjoy visiting the farm, and the livestock and poultry. You will appreciate this quiet peaceful atmosphere just steps away from the city, which makes you feel like you are in a scenic village.
