Recently visited the Jurahareshwarar / Airavatesvara temple an popular Lord Shiva with great architecture and history located in Kanchipuram.

we visited the Jurahareshwarar / Airavatesvara temple, an Lord Shiva temple was built by the Pallavas around 8th century. It is also known for its architectural marvel and splendid vimana. The name of the temple Jurahareswarar is derived from the Tamil word “Juram” which means fever.

The unique feature of this temple is its sanctum built in Gajaprastha style, looks like the back of an elephant.

Through Roadways : Kanchipuram is 75 kilometers Away from chennai and is well connected by a network of roads with other important towns and cities of Tamilnadu.

By Rail: The Kanchipuram Railway Station (Code CJ) has regular and direct trains connecting to Chennai, Tirupati, Nagarcoil, Chengalpattu, Bangalore, etc..
