CasualWalker’s Rating for Tara Books – Printing Workshop in Chennai:

9.7 – Great / Excellent

Tara Books is an independent publishing house started in 1994 by Gita Wolf. They are world famous for their screen-printed books made entirely by hand – from paper to printing and binding based in Chennai.

For their books, they have won prestigious international awards including the London Book Fair International Publishing Industry Excellence Award, in 2014, and the Bologna Prize for Best Children’s Publisher.

Tara Books recently organized their silkscreen-printing workshop at their iconic Book Building office in Chennai. At this workshop, we had a hands-on satisfying experience to print our own mini art print using their own custom-mixed and made inks.

At this silkscreen-printing workshop, we witnessed the various processes in the screen printing and binding of these hand-crafted books.
