By Hand From The Heart, the makers market exhibition was organized at Mantra Gardens in Chennai. By Hand From The Heart is highly community-focused, bringing the makers and customers together to appreciate and celebrate handcrafted products through narratives and interactions.

This shopping event is dedicated to promoting thoughtful handmade and consciously independent designs in art & craft, designers/makers, sustainable design companies, ethnic art and craft clusters, clothing, ornaments, artists, food entrepreneurs, and art and craft businesses from all around India.

Some of our personal favorite exhibits at By Hand From The Heart are Artefakt Nagpur Dolls – Paper mache dolls, Sew Me Dolls – Bangalore, Goal Design Studios makes wonderful kids-friendly custom furniture, interactive wooden toys, Thäen raw wild honey label, Tara Books – A South India-based independent publisher of illustrated and handmade books, Print Factory – Coimbatore packaging and printing solutions, Farmgate – Chennai homegrown coffee label, Pichwai Artist Kuldeepak Soni, and Teal & Co. Bangalore stationery. The By Hand From The Heart event also happens in Madurai, Coimbatore, and Bengaluru / Bangalore.

Sew Me Dolls – Bangalore, is a homegrown label for handmade dolls and nursery decor. Sumithra, doll maker and Founder of Sew Me dolls will showcase, 18” and 15” dolls of animals, boys and girls. Along with doll accessories – outfits, hairbands, pets, handbags/baskets.

The Manduva Project

The Manduva Project, Hyderabad is an artisanal condiment brand founded by Neha Alluri. Reviving heirloom recipes with farm-fresh ingredients, zero preservatives, and additives-free, Neha has an impressive lineup of Pickles, Sprinkles, and sun-dried Crispies.

Thäen Honey, Chennai

Thäen – is a raw wild honey label, powered by ecology – a social enterprise based in Chennai. The team is back at the makers market with their popular range of unfiltered and minimally processed honey.
